I am also interested in getting a grip reduction and stipple job on a glock too. I found a company out of Las Vegas that has a youtube videos and a facebook page that looks promising but I am having trouble finding a website. The companies name is MK3 firearms. If I find anything out I will keep you posted. Good luck

They are doing some interesting things with Laser Engraving now too. Check out San Antonio Laser Engraving on Facebook.
I think the turn-around is about 5 days to ship back and starts at $120 range. Thinking about trying this on a gen3 26 and 19.Comment

Thanks guys keep me posted on the laser stillping. It looks clean not hot glue gun... I may just buy the G17 from Glockstore or Gunfighter and get the $50 grip reduction then outsource the stippling .... I could even use a talongrip in between. It's better than having a cheese grater for a grip I guess.
Shop the Laser Engraved Grip Stippling, a premium addition to our Glock Frame Stippling collection. Get yours today!
These guys are $85, not bad really.
These guys are$120 and much cleanerLast edited by etwinam; 08-15-2017, 1:14 PM.God, Guns & Integrity. Prioritize your Priorities.Comment

I think a 4" is fine for a class. Personally I think you should train with what you'd use the most, and the compact frames seem best all around to me. People have taken classes with micro/sub compacts so I wouldn't worry about a duty compact size - you'll still get a full purchase on the weapon.Ppq, vp9 are great guns but I'm looking for a full sized gun to run classes with. Otherwise I would just use my P10c.... Am I wrong in thinking that a 4" compact gun is too small for a pistol class? I was under the impression that I should be using a full sized 4.5"-5" frame.
If you wanted to go larger, Walther makes a 5" PPQ and the Q5 Match as well.
If you wanted to save some $ I don't think there'd be any problem running a P10c in a class; it's also a compact duty pistol.Crime rate per 100k peopleOriginally posted by MitchThe architects of the assault weapon bans ... are simply trying to fight the Culture War. I have a G22 with Talon Granulates, two RTF2's, and two stock Gen4's. Texture on all those is fine. I want a little more on the regular gen3's, but lasered sides would probably do the job for me. Most likely I'll do that. I don't mind the grips or the grooves.Comment

I had a guy offer to sell me a Vickers in fde for $800 yesterday, I like the $500 price tag much better and I actually like the fish gills. Once again my concern is the shaving of the grip to fit my hand would negate any benefit of rtf2.
It would be like buying a brand new Porsche and paying extra for the rim package just to replace the rims as soon as I buy it.God, Guns & Integrity. Prioritize your Priorities.Comment

The more and more I price out how much it will be to make a G17 fit my hand and have a trigger close to the P10c I'm going to be over $1k, more like $1200.
G17 $575+ trigger $150+ grip shave and stipple $200+ sights $125+ enhanced slide release $25+ 3.5# connector $25.... and that's me being conservative... So ya.
In retrospect I'll just wait for the P10F to come out if it ever does and just save my $1200 and perhaps land a P320 or M&P 2.0, PPQ 5"
Anyone selling either please PM me....God, Guns & Integrity. Prioritize your Priorities.Comment

Champagne taste- Beer Budget.
Based on all these responses, you want a smaller shaved and reshaped grip, you want it to look factory with custom stippling, but you also want it as cheap as possible. Taran Tactical is one of the most popular custom Glock makers in the world right now thanks to all the publicity from Keanu- never mind spending $300+ for the work, the wait time is 6-12 months.
If you want to stay local and save on shipping, I would still say Gunfighter Tactical. Some of their custom glocks have been pretty ****ing far out there. Their instagram still has some examples, like that set of Iron Man & War machine glocks
Edit* nevermind, was writing this post when you came to the same conclusion

Ya I guess I'd didn't realize that stippling that looks good was so expensive, excuse my naivete. It's my first gun I've contemplated stippling. I've always avoided it in the past and went with a talon grip.Champagne taste- Beer Budget.

Sorry for my first experience being an eye opener. In this scenario I don't see it working out as Glock just doesn't fit my hand. That's the part I'm trying to mitigate is the block grip.
Like I stated above I am trying to find a substitute for a full sized P10c. Not trying to have John wicks gun. I understand that custom work costs money but there is a lot of stuff in between John wick and a garage cowboy with a soldering iron. I guess this is why we have the wonderful calguns. I can ask questions and save money instead of being in mid conversion right now wondering how to recoup my $1k haha.
Thanks again for all the input. I'm sure one day I'll come across a Glock that speaks to me, until then I'll just keep looking at market options. With all the new entries this year p10, fn 509, sig p320.. I'm sure something will meet my needs.
Thanks again all.God, Guns & Integrity. Prioritize your Priorities.Comment

The very best grip shaping work I have even seen is by ZEV in Ventura. They can do as much or as little as you want. While you can get a full boat high end job from them, trigger, sights and grip work, unless you are building a target gun, don't spend the money. Have them do the grip work and then do the internals yourself.Comment

Before spending like $1400-$2000 on customizing your Glock for performance I'd do this simple calculation.
Does it cost more than just buying a CZ P-10c, VP9 or Sig P320X? If it does then just pay for the overpriced thing you REALLY want from the MP.Comment
