So he can stare it it like a girlie mag and never shoot it like most Python owners afraid to get a turn line? The man wants a range gun, not a trophy. Get a pre-lock Smith and Wesson magnum and shoot it like the good Lord intended.

Nonsense. If he doesn't mind paying $1500 - $2000 for a shooter grade with an established turn line he can shoot it all he wants! Still the nicest double action trigger I have felt. Maybe I need to get out more..

Show me a $1500 Python, I just never see them. Great guns, no argument and yeah the DA is unmatched. But since the latest snake craze all I see are ridiculous prices for guns nobody wants to shoot. A Trooper is another good choice though I suppose right?

Ruger Vaquero single action... better yet, get a pair with left and right holsters.
It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men.

I just picked up a shooter grade 4" 1978 Python from a local gun shop for $2k a few months ago. And I scored a 6" 1966 shooter grade Python with box and papers for $900 (yes, that's nine hundred) through a local auction in Sacramento in 2015. So yeah, they're out there. Just gotta get lucky...

The snake guns do command a premium. I haven't fired a Trooper yet, but yeah their prices are a lot more affordable!
