    Make sure the slide lock is thru the barrel link

      yes.. all my new 120 mag works like a charm. just for fun on 140 mag I have remove the 10 round block and it also work like a charm. (OMG with 21 round the STI got so heavy. LOL).

      So end result I believe it might have something to do with the follower...

      happy camper now...

          I had exactly the same problem....ended up being a combination of weak (new mags!) magazine springs and the slide stop not pivoting freely enough. STI installed new mag springs and polished the rear of the slide stop where it rides against the slide stop plunger. I haven't taken it out yet but it already feels a lot smoother and locks back 100% with the slide stop fully engaging the slide stop notch when I manually cycle the slide with an empty mag.
