If you use WD-40 in the trigger bow channel make sure you let all that WD40 drip or blown out. Don't let it dry in there or you'll have a gummy trigger.

      ETA:

You're just cheating by shooting a Les Baer

Every time I carry a pistol for a week or shoot it once I field strip and clean and lube. I never go past field strip. If I am getting some grittiness, I use compressed air to blow out parts and I spritz some rem oil in the right holes.

I like the Remington spray cleaner/lube after a good soaking blow off with an air compressor

Naw, you'll do fine. There is no way ballistol (love the stuff) and air will get the job done. You might as well give a go. Worst case is you end up with an extra part and have to come to the Calguns community hat in hand asking where it goes. Better yet see if there is a fellow calgunner nearby who can walk you through your first full strip and reassembly.

Once you use the paperclip function to attach the picture file you copy the link that appears in the Manage Attachments pop up box. Then click on the "insert Image" icon (yellow box with mountains) and paste the file name in between the [IMG] [IMG] box. Then Preview file to see if it worked.

Gaaaack! Didn't realize they were sideways! Thanks for the help!

Closer target closer to 7 yards rather than 5. Farther closer to 10 rather than 7.

Narrower groups are mostly (not completely) mine. Wider groups are mostly (not completely) the other guy's.

              Farther target

Oh and while I'm at it...

This is what the Les Baer shoots like. I'm not particularly good but IT shoots like crazy!

So how close were you standing to those tages when you were shooting?

I know you said the distance from the bench, but how close were you when you walked up to the targets?

                    Ha!
As I was shooting that day I thought to myself I've never shot like this before. I was on fire. Usually I'm not bad. But holy smokes. Those holes were 6-8 shots of .45. They are like one big hole. I was playing with snap caps that day and we each randomly put 0-2 snap caps in the other's magazine. I went shooting since then and did fine, but nothing like these pictures. So now I'm disappointed every time I go because I can't reproduce that day!

Oh and thanks for fixing the link. That's what the LB shoots like. Front sight? Forget it. I just point the gun downrange and pull the trigger and that day the bullet seemed to curve to go into the bullseye every time.

Next I'm going to watch that Angelina Jolie movie and try to curve the bullets.
