    Should I buy it?

Okay, I have an opportunity to pick up a new in the box Springfield Armory, stainless steal 1911 in 9mm. (I heard Springfield Armory stopped making them for California.) It would cost me about $1,000 for everything, out the door, tax, DROS, etc. I want a 9mm, no other caliber. All my semi's are 9mm for reloading and bulk ammo purposes.

Should I buy it? (I have enough Glocks, so that is covered. I just sold a Gen 2 NIB model 17.)

If you want to support a company that tried to sell out the rest of the firearm industry in Illinois, then sure!

        $1000 is not a steal.

        Nope.

This is something really hard to overlook.

I heard from some guy on the internet that Springfield's are garbage and that the only parts worth keeping are the slide and the frame so unless you've got another 1k to invest in parts and labor, I'd look somewhere else Maybe check out the Kimber
