Shooting clase for my 15 year old son

Hey guy, we're in the IE (Alta Loma) my sons on break for a couple weeks and I'd like to sign him up for a handgun training class. I've got a few handguns.

Should I just not mention my guns and let him use the guns at the training facility ?

I've called the Magnum Range a couple times today and got no answer. What do you fellas think of this place?

Avoid. I was there one day and while talking to the owner about a gun, a customer brought a 1911 up that he had rented. He left the mag in it and I guess still had ammo in it.

Owner hit the slide release, it not chambered a round, pointed it up and fired a round off. Mind you I was just a few feet away on the opposite side of the counter.

Could have been bad. Haven't been back since.

OP- I know you are looking for handgun training, but if you want to teach your son to value and respect firearms and their usefulness, go check out Redlands Shooting Park. It's a shotgun only facility. They have instructors who excel at introducing novice shooters to the world of firearms.

Next time I'm there I'll look up and try to find the hole.

I thought it was crazy also. I was pretty pissed off to say the least. Besides it happening right in my face, my wife and kids were in the car right outside. Was more worried about them.

This happened at the riverside location. If you walk in pretty much right in the middle of the front door and back wall look up. Would be where say if employee was standing behind counter.

Maybe I'll just stop in and grab a pic real fast and take off before there's another accidental discharge.

I think I saw something about an instructor working out of bass pro for classes
