    S&W uses a different take on the Swartz safety. From what I understand, it's not linked to the trigger at all, but rather the grip safety. Personally, I think that sounds good. Also, the external extractor is progress, even JMB thought so himself. Easier to tune than the internals, and I think they look cool on a 1911, especially the thicker ones.

      For quality and value, I like Dan Wesson. Tight fit, no MIM parts, classic 70 series and great customer service. Mine is pretty much stock with a 3# trigger using C&S hammer,sear, and disconnector.

        I have a 4 1/4" commander size. Love it.
        Very accurate and great fit and finish.
