Been looking on line at Ar pistols for my next build. I know I need a lower marked pistol on it. Dose anyone know any more laws I might need to follow when living in the not so great state of California?

Not to flame, but this has been covered quite often around here. You actually don't need to have a lower marked "pistol" it just needs to be logged in the books as a pistol lower. Lowers in CA can be 4473'd as an "other" but will be DROS'd as a longgun...
So basically you could buy one from out of state and have it built to CA specs (single shot, mag lock) OR you can find a nice FFL that will allow you to build up the stripped lower while in their posession and upon completion start the DROS for you...
Basically:
-It can never have been a rifle
-Must have a mag lock
-Must have been DROS'd as a single shot (to be roster exempt)
Someone else may chime in with something I missedMY AR Profile #1 -

It doesn't need to be marked pistol; however, it does need to be DROS'd as one.
