      That's a bolt action kit on a polymer 80 frame. I believe you can only build your own handgun if you first build it as a bolt action or single shot where you have to break the top open to reload. After you've done that, you can convert it to a semiauto. yes, it's stupid. But that's the state of California for ya.

        So how is one supposed top prove that the process you describe has been done in that order?....pics with date proofs?.....voluntary paperwork to DOJ?....
        With all the hassle, I'd skip it. And the whole build your own thing..

            What is the purpose of the longer barrel in the bolt action kit? Is that a requirement by law?

              That is to make it dimensionally compliant...10.5" as required by law. We couldn't make this stuff up, even if we tried.

                Omg it looks ridiculos. But correct me if im wrong. But you are not allowed to convert it back to semiauto anymore. And SSE is over right?
