My 380 collection

This my 380 auto collection. There is only one thing special about these guns. I did not pay a single cent for them. These were found in the process of doing the business I'm in. They've been transferred and registered to myself.

First up is the Grendel P10. It's the precursor to the Keltec company. It doesn't have a mag, but it's also got the largest capacity of all my 380s (10+1).



Llama 380. It's a 7/8th copy of a 1911 except it's a blow back. I love the feel of it in hand.



AMT Backup - helluva thing to shoot. Not pleasurable, but surprisingly effective for such a small pistol.



And the jewel of the 380s, an Interarms Walther PPK/S.



I've acquired others through the same process, but these 380s keep popping up, and I've started keeping them. I've heard "you buy junk, your own junk". I'm a junker, I find junk and I keep junk

I enjoy shooting 380acp. I own a Sig P238 and it has becom my favorite to shoot.

There are quite a few nice 380 and even 32s out there. Some made long ago and not all that expensive but very well made. The Mauser 1914 and HSC, the Colt 1903 models and variations, Savage and Remington and Browning. A person could probably do nothing but collect the Walther PP and PPk line and never run out of the need to keep buying. Even some modern day stuff such as the Seecamp and NAA is pretty well made.

I had the same interarms ppk/s with 7 walther mags. Although a beautiful pistol it had very snappy recoil and a stiif slide. It would also stove pipe too often (should never do it IMO).

I sold it and got the new Kimber micro .380 in stainless.

Much less recoil, easy slide.. Originally had occasional failure to go into battery but kimber redesigned the guide rod and recoil spring for their micro series line in 2016 and supplied them for free to kimber owners. It now runs with no malfunctions..ever. 100% reliable with the design change.

Glock 42 and Sig 238, love them both but 42 shoots like a dream especially with the plus 2 mag extension by TT...collected prewar Walthers for many years and enjoyed them but they don't shoot like the 42......

I can tell you why that Grendel is missing the mag. It wouldn't feed and someone tossed it as far as they could. [emoji51]

I actually had one before the G26 came out. It is the only gun I have ever got rid of. I did finally get it to feed the ammo by trimming the lip on the mag so the bullet would load into the chamber easier. I just never really trusted it and traded it on a G26 when they came out.

I do pocket carry a P3AT and it's been flawless.

The P12 had a mag. The P10 has an internal mag. I have no delusion that it's a great shooter. None of these are. They're a collection of odd ball guns I've acquired.

I had a P10 way back in the late 80's and it was a neat gun but was not fun to shoot. Snappy and probably one of the worse triggers I've ever pulled.

On the bright side it's the only pistol I've ever owned that used a "clip" and not a "magazine".
