    Glock self defense ammo issues

I have a Glock 19 stock parts , the last round on my self defense ammo on all three of my magazines Will not fire and get stuck in the gun before the feed ramp
Has anyone experienced this before or does anyone have a solution before I bring it in to a gunsmith
Self-defense ammo is sig said and Hornaday critical defense 125 grain
No issues with the standard 115 grain ammo from Walmart
    Thanks in advance

This is a known issue with 19's and 10 round magazines. People have had success replacing the follower with replacement parts marked 9mm-3 or 9mm-6. Some have been able to get these for free from glock. I would try calling them first and describe your problem.

This is a pretty common problem with the CA Compliant 10 round G19 magazines. The last round of JHP will jam. This happened with my wife's Gen 4 G19 with 124 grain Gold Dots.

What some have found to work is to upgrade to the new 9mm6 follower. You'll need to do some sanding of the follower or the magazine to make it work though. Don't try the 9mm3 followers since the gun will start to jam on the 5th or 6th round.

Another option is to buy normal capacity magazines that have been blocked to 10 rounds by Jester Arms. Can't seem to find the right link for it at the moment. Perhaps a Calgunner with better Google-fu than I can help out.

Hope you find a good solution!

I have the same issue even after I change the follower, so I use different gun for home defense.

I had exactly the same problem with my G19 ten round mags. I contacted Glock, they sent me replacement followers. No more problem.

My G32 likely had that same issue so Glock changed the mag design. Hopefully they do the same for the 17 and 19.

Like the others said, this is more of a magazine issue. Those guns were never designed to use 10 round magazines. You can thank the Communists overlords for this

Change the followers. If that doesn't fix it, then try different ammo. My M&P Shield eats any ammo, but Critical Defense gets hung up on the base of the feed ramp due to the rubber ball in the tip.

On my G19 Gen 3 I am at 2000 rounds downrange no problems since round #400.

With JHP I had the same issue until I had about 400 rounds downrange. No problems anymore and I am using Winchester 147 JHP which are available at Walmart.

Occasionally I had a weak round with Tula. But for practice now I am using the Federal 115 FMJ aluminum cased that is $19.44 for a box of 100.

I would follow the advice of XDJYo in his earlier post. I was having the same issues and replaced all of my followers with 9mm 6 followers and it took care of the problem. I did need to sand down the follower a little to fit, but it was easy to do and didn't take much time. If you put the 9mm 6 follower in your mag you will see where the front part of the mag is keeping the follower from coming all the way up. You then just have to sand/file the follower or the magazine body to eliminate the interference and it will work fine.

Absolutely true, I don't own any 10 round Glock mags and never experience any of the feeding problems you often read about on Calguns. Do you still have this problem when you download the mags by one.
