    Yes yet again how old is my gun question, i looked up the Colt page but it would not come up. it a government mod 1911 sn# C156680

        I say about because I Had C150xxx which by serial list was 1926. When I got
        the letter from Colt it was built in 1926 but did not actually get shipped
        from Colt until February 1928.

            I wish they could/would blue guns like that today, though I guess other methods are actually more durable and cheaper... still .... that's just beautiful!

              just shot it all the same hole at 25ft no ftf cool old gun just found a ton of 1927 ammo too... thanks for the info all

                    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

                      OP----IF you've got OLD ammo be sure to clean that pistol right after you shoot it. IF ammo is corrosive it will
                      ruin your barrel! Ammo from that time is corrosive.
