    what to do?

i picked up my springfield loaded 9mm yesterday and noticed the matte finish on top of the slide is damaged i guess when they where polishing the sides of the slide they lost control and the wheel hit some of the matte finish on top its hard to notice but i can notice and its bothering me. The gun shoots awesome and don't know if i should mess with it our send it back, will they even fix something like that?

If it bothers you, call Springfield. They have awesome customer service and it would not take much for them to blast away those marks.

How do you know it wasn't the shop you bought it from that had an accident with it instead of The factory? Didn't you inspect it before you purchased it?

After a few thousand presentations from a holster, you will likely be hard pressed to even see where the blemish used to be. And after an honest year of EDC, there will be many more other "marks", so don't sweat it.

Is this going to be a safe queen gun? If not, then just shoot it and forget about it.
