CZ SP01

Hi guys,

I have a CZ SP01 at rifle gear on hold and debating if to get it or cancel the order. I already have CZ 75 shadow, CZ tactical sport and CZ 75 B high polished. What do you guys think? Better spend that money on some other gun like Springfield M1A?

I hate to say this but you definitely don't need it or want it because you will never shoot it. A stock SP-01 is not in the same league as a Shadow or Tac Sport.

A stock SP-01 can be sent to CGW or CZ Custom and it becomes something completely different.

As far as harder to find guns go, in CA it almost always makes sense to get them. They can fall off the roster, they can get replaced with newer models, etc. Finally, if you change your mind you can sell them.

I am looking to get at least one more TS, primarily because it's one of the few limited division guns that are on the roster and if something happens to my current one, I cannot replace it on a short notice.

I tend to agree.....it feels dirty advising against grabbing a CZ though

I'd say keep it (SP-01). With our lame roster here in CA, you never know if the SP-01 may/may not fall off the roster. If you can afford it, keep it and get the M1A.

The TS is one of the best and accurate target handguns right out of the box. The lightweight trigger is awesome though I don't care for the plastic material. It's sort of apples and oranges. But with some work (by Cajun Gun Works for example), the SP-01 can be converted. But in my opinion, the SP-01 is already pretty accurate and an excellent shooting gun. I have one myself. Along with the Tactical Sport.

Better to have it and regret it than letting it go and potentially regretting it later.

Cancel the order. You already have two of the best CZs, and it would have to be Cajunized to equal those two.
