question for RMR owners with milled slides

I just got a milled slide (g19) and its a perfect fit, a little hard to get into the slot but it fits and is flush with the slide. I have noticed when I let the slide rack the front end of the RMR pops up a little bit (very very little but I notice it) and is no longer flush with the slide unless i press the rmr front end down. The screws are in plenty tight and secured with loctite. This is my first time owning a RMR and I was just wondering if this is normal or is something wrong with my milled slide, I havent even shot the gun yet and I can't even imagine whats going to happen when I actually shoot it.

    THANKS

Something isn't right, it shouldn't move.

Sounds like the screws are slightly longer than the holes made for them. A quick fix is to dremel the front screws down 1mm. A better fix is if you can find screws that are 1mm shorter.

I had a similar problem attaching an aftermarket front sight to a Glock G34. The bolt was slightly too long so the front sight was loose even after the bolt was down tight. A couple seconds with a dremel sanding wheel took off enough material to fix the problem.

The RMR should be solid. The above quote is good.
You can also shim it with some foil and then see if there is any rocking movement.

          Good luck with your endeavors.
