Are single stack 9mms fun?

Love my PPS M2, it's probably my favorite gun right now. And I own a Q5 match. It shoots like a full size for me. Be prepared to pay a premium when you find one unless your roster exempt, I think I've only seen 2 for sale here ppt."People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."Comment

Walther p-38 fun, Sig p-239 fun, S&W 9mm 1911 pro series lots of fun, HK P7-M8 SUPER FUN, none of them are any harder to control than your PPQ.Comment

Glock 17 and 19 may only hold 10 rounds for Ca, but they are not single stack pistols. Glock 43 is a single stack pistol. The luger and P-38 are single stack 9mm pistols. Early S&W 9mm guns were also single stack. The Glock 17 and 19, with a California 10 rounds magazine, are single stack 9mm guns.
I had an XDS 9mm. It was a nice gun. I sold it because I had no real use for it. CCW is not allowed where I live.

To me, no, they're not as fun as full size. But out of the ones I've shot (Shield, G26, PM9), PM9 is amazingly easy and fun to shoot.Comment

My 13 year old daughter has shot both a Sig Sauer P6 and a Sig Sauer P239. She easily controlled both handguns, and they were the first handguns that she has shot, and her learning curve was less than 5 minutes of instruction. Shooting a 38 Special snubnose revolver was more difficult for her than shooting the two 9 mm handguns.sigpicComment

I respectfully disagree when it comes the the Shield in 9mm. It may not be as nice as a 1911 9mm, but it's a blast to shoot, and shoot well. I've shot over 200 rounds a day with my Shield. 350 in one range visit, no problems. I've also done the same with a LC9. The Shield was more fun for me.I have a Glock 43 and a Shield which are in the same ballpark as a PPS. I really think both are great CCW choices, but they aren't going to be something you take to the range and happily digest 200 rounds through. I shoot mine enough to stay proficient, but that's about it. They aren't fun plinking and entertaining yourself in the same way that a big, heavy full size 9mm would be.
I would rather have a CZ Tactical Sport, which is a terrible carry gun, than a single stack 9 for range duty. For carry, reverse that with the same enthusiasm.Comment
