    SD9VE magazine issues

Love my little value SD9VE. Probably have 1000 rounds thru it with no issues, except two of my 3 mags will not allow the slide to lock back after the last round is fired. I've traced it down to an actual mag problem. Swapped springs and followers between and confirmed it is the mag 'casing' for lack of better terms. The follower won't rise up far enough to push up on the slide release lever. Has anyone had this issue? Gun shop told me I just have to buy a new mag and there is no warranty on them.

I would contact Smith and see what they say.
I have a 9mm and a 40 ve and love them both, never any issues with either.

Check the slide release tab that the mag follower pushes up, check that its not bent up.

Might have better luck with sigma followers, They will work in the SD. I have some of them in my mags.

Sigma follower makes better contact then the SD stock follower.

Had SD9VE 9mm with Apex improve trigger mod ($20+shipping), 2000 rds, never have any problem with magazines. Once in a while the front and rear sight is moved to the side, just couple tap with brass punch problem solved.
Very reliable pistol, it bang every time.

Mine is very reliable except this mag issue. I have to do the trigger kit soon. I have some issues shooting low and left and I think it's due to the heavy trigger. I am a newer shooter tho.

Too many firearms I want to buy, lack of funds. I'm in the market for a rifle now, but I do have a p80 glock lower, just no parts yet. I like my brothers g17 a lot.

When install the Apex trigger kit, I run into a problem of one of the pin can only come out ONE WAY ONLY I don't remember witch one. So when you tap the punch to remove the pin and the pin still does not come out then just try the other side, left-to-right/Right-to-Left.

When I did the Apex mod. nobody let me know about the one way pin . I found out the hard way and scratch my SD9VE . The Apex web site don't even mention about that pin

Sell it and buy a CZ.
My biggest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Keep it stock and learn to use the trigger. Will make you a better shot with all your firearms.

I saw a used one for sale the other day at Turner's for $150 on consignment. I kick myself for not getting it. I mean $150?!
