Yes, I know there are one man shop smiths who will keep yerr gun for two years and come up with something may be prettier.
    Im glad they are back.
They were - they're not back as their "custom" offerings aren't even custom anymore. All work is probably being completed by pistol finishers gather than actual trained smiths.

If you want a "trigger job," target/night sights, or want to get your pistol refinished, SA will do it.

If you want custom slide serrations, front or rear checkering, magwell anything, rounded safeties, engraving, ... anything requiring actual custom work, you'll need to look elsewhere.

SA is really circling the drain on this one.

Looks like they dropped the "Hard Chrome" finishing options as well.

What a let down. So many people waited a full year for them to reopen and their custom options are all gone.

I hear ya - I encourage all who were interested to drop an email to the custom shop: customshop@springfield-armory.com and let them know your disappointment. Deb will likely reply, but it never hurts to ask her to pass on your sentiments to management.

I think some of the guys over on m1911 have been emailing and calling since last year when they closed the custom shop down in an attempt to pressure them back into opening.
