Do you keep all of the boxes/cases for your handguns?

My boxes/cases are getting out of hand and I'm having trouble finding where to store them so they are out of the way... besides, my wife is wondering why there are all of these empty gun boxes and cases when I only have 3 pistols

I guess the only upside to keeping them is if I decide to sell them.. but when you buy a used gun, do you really think a box is a make or break deal maker?

Some do come in decent cases such as the higher model Springfield 1911s which I will definitely keep. But majority are just standard cases and boxes that never get used. I've thought about throwing them in a bin and putting them in the attic, but I don't store anything else up there and I know I'll forget them when I move

Nope, I would have to rent a storage unit for that

I keep them and use them for transport only. They are under every bed in the house.

This. Use a broom to reach them.

I keep them....Mine are out of control as well so I opted to store them in my attic for the time being. Out of site out of mind as they say besides if there are empty boxes all over it gives someone an idea of all the goodies you have in your safe lol.

The only box/case I've ever thrown away is the one my LB came in.

The only proper way to store guns is with butcher paper and cosmoline!

Ive recently rented a storage for a few Rigid work boxes filled with ammo, and all the cases for rifles and pistols.
Im seriously finding a downside to collecting, It takes a ton of room for the stuff.
The amount of weapons, slings, other accessories, mags, and ammo that one can collect in 30 years is massive.

im a shooter and abuse most if my handguns, but i also like keeping the boxes since it makes it complete.

to a lot of people, keeping the boxes does make or break a deal. if i know im going to abuse the pistol i dont care about the boxes.

                      everyone is different.

Yes, and I have also reached my in house storage limit.

They have started to compete with my guitar and bass cases for space.

I am a little OCD when it comes to certain things.

I have all of the little cardboard boxes that my guitar effects came in as well.

Keep them and put them in the garage in a suitably sized plastic storage box from Lowes/Walmart.

I keep mine in case they need to be sent in for warranty work. Kept in the attic.

I keep everything! The box, mags, owners manual, spent casings, and the original invoice. That goes for all pistols and long-guns as well.
