+1 Greg-Dawg, you can buy a minus connector from Glock or distributor (Midway, Brownells etc.).

More correctly, a LEO Glock Armorer will not install a minus conector in a duty firearm.

You sent your mags ( I'm guessing "2") in for the followers to be changed out??????? What's truly the nature of your "old" ones' problems? Also, did you know that you can get Glock (and most any type of) follower for about $0.25 each & they are just as simple to install as field-stripping the gun in the first place??!!??!!

This has to be your first pistol......................and the first time you've ever sent anything to the "factory" for "repair." You'll learn soon enough, though.

I've had good experience with S&W's factory repairs... However, you might be right about Glock.

I just got off the phone with Glock Customer Service about my G34 5.5lb Connector situation.
          I explained to Glock that:

          1) I purchased the G34 for competition and that Glock advertises a 3.5lb Connector in the G34.

          2) I joined GSSF to take advantage of their Member Purchase Program and to participate in their competitions,
and GSSF does not inform you that purchasing a G34 or G35 though their Program will get you a 5.5lb Connector instead.

Glock Customer Support said, "Sorry, but thru an LE Distributor like LC Action, you can only get the 5.5lb connector.
However, for $48 ($40 for shipping and $8 for the 3.5lb Connector) we'll take care of it for you."

          I then told him that:

          3) My friend (norcal-ar) just purchased a G35 through the program too, and that he spoke to Scott Banks who was very helpful
and Scott Banks had him ship the G35 in and the Connector would be replaced (Free of Charge).

Clock Support said he doesn't know who Scott Banks is, and he doesn't know how to get a hold of him
(he doesn't have a phone extension listed in the directory).

I then told him I wasn't satisfied with his response and requested to speak to a manager. He said,

"Please contact Carlos Gwenga, our Legal Counsel, on extension x6778, and take the matter up with him."

Excuse Me??? Take the matter up with Glock's attorney???

Norcal-ar, I'm happy for you that Glock took care of you, but they did not take care of me with the same issue.
Looks like I'll be ordering a 3.5lb Connector from an online vendor like Lone Wolf and installing it myself (once I learn how to do it).

Right now, I don't see how joining GSSF for $35, then spending $48 to get a G34 or G35 w/ a 3.5lb Connector (as advertised by Glock)
is that great of a deal.... Or am I missing something here???

huntndog, Contact Midway and get a $9 Lone Wolf or Scherer "-" connector.

HUNTDOG that sucks it took me a few phone calls to get to the bottom of this and each time they were very friendly. I am shocked they didnt help you out like they did me. and yeah scotty doesnt have an extension i just happen to get him one day and when i called back i asked for him by name when the receptionist answered.

On another note I stand corrected you cannot buy a FACTORY glock minus connector. i had seen there were a bunch of other brands out there but i was being anal and wanted to keep my glock all stock. well........ for now. and like HUNTDOG said whats the point of getting the discount if you have to turn around and put money into the pistol to make it the way they advertised?

I have one small question so is this minus connector 4.5lb or 3.5lb? I ask cause the glock site says 4.5lb trigger pull. so does that mean that the 3.5lb connector=4.5lbs of pull?? or does the size of the connector = amount of trigger pull?

and yes huntdog I received two 10rd mags with my pistol in exchange for the 3 15rd mags they took out of the box. they were out of the mags when I dros'd the pistol but got the 10 rd mags in before my 10days were up.

The former - a 3.5lb stock disconnect (no extra trigger job) is about a 4.5lb trigger pull, I measured it on my stock G34 with the digital pull gauge.

                    Huntdog-
I'm a factory-certified Glock Armorer. If you want to make an appointment , I have just about any part you need (yes, I have the 3.5's) ; I can easily install it for you & do a trigger job if you are interested. However, I am 1.5 hrs. away, but it will cost you less than if you end up sending your gun out. I can also address your mag issues, as far as diagnosing what (exactly) they are, and doing that install, too. Plus, since you will be here, you will be able to see how to do a lot of the "basic" stuff (mag
disassembly/reassembly/connector change) yourself in the future.

Correct, because of the discounted price.

Just PM me as to parts/work you'll need (I may have to call Glock if I'm out of a particular piece); discuss a time frame + other options & we'll be GTG!!!
