    Glock Rocks!!!

So as most of you know i went through a lot recently to get a hold of a glock 35. I joined GSSF to take advantage of the discount they offer on Glocks.I ended up purchasing the Glock through a certain place in San Jose that only sells to LE.well after my ten days was up I picked up the pistol got it home to realize. It had a 5.5lb connector and no rear adjustable sight.WTF!! part of the reason for getting the G35 is the goodies it comes with.

So i guess this is partially my fault for not looking at the pistol closer while doing the dros. but in the past month i had looked at a bunch of glock 35's and held them a ton of times so when she flashed open the box i thought okay its another G35. I called back to this store and the femal who answered there told me on the Phone "we sell to LE only what did you expect".Of course this probably falls back on me for not being more thorough but a quick little "you do realize this is for L.E. or this may be modified for L.E." I would have stopped for a sec to actually see what was going on. rather than be rushed out the door and told that i cant pick it up for 11 days which really didnt matter cause i couldnt make it back for 14days!

The thought had never crossed my mind that someone may want a G35 for a duty weapon. nor did it cross my mind that it would have to be neutered in order to be a carry weapon. at any rate a few phone calls to glock and shipping it out last sat. my pistol arrived back to me today with the adj. sight+ tool and the correct "minus" connector all free of charge so this is just a big kudos thread to glock for helping me out!

There are multiple types of the G35 as you found out. You need to specify exactly what you want when buying one.

    Just FYI, the G35 comes...

Std sights, 3.5lb trigger, 10 round
Std sights, 4.5lb trigger, 10 round
Std sights, 5.5lb trigger, 10 round

Adj sights, 3.5lb trigger, 10 round
Adj sights, 4.5lb trigger, 10 round
Adj sights, 5.5lb trigger, 10 round

Night sights, 3.5lb trigger, 10 round
Night sights, 4.5lb trigger, 10 round
Night sights, 5.5lb trigger, 10 round

Std sights, 3.5lb trigger, 15 round
Std sights, 4.5lb trigger, 15 round
Std sights, 5.5lb trigger, 15 round

Adj sights, 3.5lb trigger, 15 round
Adj sights, 4.5lb trigger, 15 round
Adj sights, 5.5lb trigger, 15 round

Night sights, 3.5lb trigger, 15 round
Night sights, 4.5lb trigger, 15 round
Night sights, 5.5lb trigger, 15 round

I'm sure I forgot something but the only "Standard" goodies that come on a G34 and G35 are the extended controls.

You need to remember L.C. sells to Law Enforcement exclusivly. I really doubt there are too many cops running around with 3.5 lb connectors in their guns. They should have some in stock and will install for free.
There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Interesting... I joined GSSF too and just picked up my G34 from L.C. I suspect I also have the 5.5# Connector installed.
This is my first Glock and I haven't disassembled it to verify.

Did you contact GSSF to report & resolve your 3.5# Connector and Adj. Sight issues? Any pushback, or were they easy to deal with on the issues?

I really want the 3.5# Connector. I got the G34 for USPSA competition.

          Thanks!

LE dealers can offer Glocks at rock-bottom pricing because they limit sales to LE, Mil, Fire/EMT, etc.

The GSSF allows members to buy Glocks at Rock-bottom pricing. Since places like L.C. and ProForce already have the pricing set up, it's just easier to allow GSSF members to buy from them.

Also, L.C. and ProForce seem to have Glocks when everyone else is out.

I think i still have the factory adjustable sight off my G34. If I find it you can have it.

If its adjustable and says Glock on it, it's junk anyway. Throw it away and put some proper sights on the pistol you deserve it!

see when i had got onto glocks website the g35 is specified as having 4.5lb trigger pull. wasnt aware that the G35 could be had with 4.5 or 3.5 connector. Glock will NOT sell or send you what they call the "MINUS" connector so i had to send the pistol in to them and i even sent it in the glock case so they can see that the box was marked 5.5LB and im sure it being unfired helped my case.

HUNTDOG- I suggest you contact glock about what happened. tell them you thought you were buying this.... and got this....... and if it helps i talked to a fella by the name of Scott Banks and he was awesome i had my pistol back in 6 days from the time of mailing. out on sat. back the following friday!!

L.C. does not sell glocks to civilians just because your a GSSf member BUT if you have the GSSF coupon they will honor it. just make sure you double check your purchase before dros-ing it. or you will be sending your pistol back to glock to get it corrected or just special order the pistol you want but i think glock is a little behind right now.

That's a negative, at least when I purchased mine in '06.

My GSSF G35 order came with 3.5lb (-) connector with Trijicons per my request, plus NY1 trigger spring. And this one came straight from Glock to my local FFL dealer, not a shop.

Glock customer service is top notch.

hey I'm just stating what Glock told me on the phone. I was hoping they would just send me the connector and I could slap it in myself. They wanted me to send the glock case with it so i can show it was sold to me with the 5.5lb. either way its resolved and got to shoot it finally yesterday i just need to adjust the rear sight. hopefully I can just get some new sights for the pistol soon.

                        norcal-ar!!! You da man!

I didn't think to check the label re the Connector! I assume LC gave you two 10-round mags as well (after removing the three 17-rounders from the case).

Funny... True to your title, I just picked up a copy of Making Glocks Rock DVD so that I could dive in to find out which Connector was installed. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=186832 Now I don't have to do that today. My first call tomorrow AM will be to Glock.

Thanks to you, my Glock will soon Rock too!

Sounds like you got a standard glock 35. LE does'nt use guns with less than a 5lb trigger pull.

You might be surprised at what "most of us" means. The sheer numbers that are already here/have been here/join everyday are astronomical (considering this is a forum that caters MOSTLY to PRK). You also might be surprised at how many thousands of members rarely, if at all, visit the "HandGuns Forum."
