    HK P7

If y'all wouldn't instantly chime in about how you could never have just one, I may have subjected this thread differently.

    I can get a rifle
    I can get a shotty

But, in my plainclothes, they'll never know I can put extremely accurate 147 HST's downrange 75 yards .

It's the last one I'll ever sell. Rifles included.

    Any holster suggestions??

Which H&K P7 series do you have?

    P7 (PSP)
    P7K3
    P7M8
    P7M10
    P7M13

Holsters are different for each model.
^Example... Holster for P7 will not work with P7M8 due to magazine release location on the P7M8.

    IMO...
    Milt Sparks VM2 for P7M8.

I have the P7 PSP and I prefer leather OWB. I really wish San Diego locals Aker had an offering.

P7 is a remarkable little pistol. I loved mine, had a p7M8 Snappy but fast recoil and super accurate, super reliable, only problem is it gets hot as crap in extended firing sessions.

          The Ultimate Staple gun.

Long before yawl got your tazers and your glocks mixed-up, it has been recorded in IPSC Jurassic History of shooters getting a staple gun and a HKP7 confused.
Well, that how I 'herd' it anyway.

regarding a holster for your pistol, consider a same time period leather holster such as an OldSchool Alessi offering made during the lifetime of the late Lou Alessi or an early Milt Sparks #55BN made during the lifetime of the late Milt Sparks. if OldSchool quality gunleather is what you want, ebay and Gunbroker would be your best bets to obtain examples made by either of these makers. the late Gordon Davis is another maker whose gunleather is worthy of consideration for purchase.

the late Gordon Davis (G. WM. Davis/Davis Leather Company) was a gunleather guru that had a shop in so cal (walnut) before taking his work to arizona under the business name of Davis Leather Company. his earlier so cal output was marked 'G. WM. Davis'. although Gordon has passed, the company that still bears his name lives on and still has the reputation for good quality that has always been associated with Gordon Davis. i make a strong recommendation to consider his OWB #453 Liberty holster which is a great example of his work and is still offered by Davis Leather Company. Gordon's IWB #455 is a wonderful leather holster that is always worth searching for on the online auction circuit. my #455 that is made for the early S&W J-frame (1.875") is an obvious maker's interpretation of the Bruce Nelson designed 'Summer Special' and the Milt Sparks variant of the Summer Special is also very worthy of consideration for purchase.

if you want new, the good news is that the current Milt Sparks gunleather is considered to be at least equal in quality to the earlier offerings, and Davis Leather Company is still putting out high quality pieces that are loyal to the vision of Gordon Davis. both companies still make the holster models that i've mentioned here.

if is only fair to mention that the Milt Sparks #55BN (BN=Bruce Nelson) and the Davis #453 Liberty are both interpretations of the '#1 Professional' holster that was designed by the late Bruce Nelson (Bruce Nelson Combat Leather/BNCL). he was a law enforcement officer and holster maker that designed the IWB 'Summer Special' leather holster that was made famous by Milt Sparks and has been copied by most all contemporary combat holster makers. for those interested in the history of modern combat gunleather and those that made contributions to it's evolution, it would be well worth an online search for information about the life of Bruce Nelson and the other makers i've mentioned.

I'm also an old school leather kinda guy. For me, it's the Milt Sparks 60TK. On a shorter gun like the P7, I think that's ideal (even though I've personally used this holster for a couple of decades with my 1911s).

For me, it's the finest handgun design of all time. Enjoy.

I passed on one in a consignment case a few years back. Really regret that... haven't seen one since...

It's one of the few handguns where devotees will own multiples of the exact same model. They tend to get hoarded.

I have owned several variants of the HK P7 including P7M8's, P7PSP's and P7M13. They were all great shooters but in the end they were heavy carry pieces. I carried my PSP's and M8's in Milt Sparks VMII holsters.

Another vote for Milt Sparks for your PSP. You also might try Del Fatti. I acquired several for my P7's years ago. But now you have to get on a waiting list that is about a year and a half long, Then you get to order and wait another year and a half. Sparks, Last time I checked was only about a 12 week wait - but worth it!!!

As mentioned you might also try eBay. They have some nice examples coming up every once in a while with no wait. But....They can be pricey...
