    Thoughts on your H&K P2000

I have decided on the H&K P2000 V3 for my upcoming purchase. I have rented and tried multiple different firearms in the 40 S&W and so far it has been the one I have liked the most.

Since I have to wait until the end of the month for my gun fund to come in, I have time to debate and 2nd guess. So I just want to hear your thoughts on yours.

What do you like, not like? Problems with them?

Currently available at LGS for $669 so apparently price has really come down on them.

If that's a brand new HK P2000, that's not a bad price - especially for an HK pistol.

HK pistols are well built and very durable pistols.

I have a p2000sk v1 (light lem) 9mm. I literally can't think of one thing I dislike about this pistol. So easy to shoot even as a sub compact.

Not sure how I'd like it in 40, but the p2000 would probably be nice in 40 with a little more grip.
The actual value of above $.02 is less than $.01 after taxes.

I've owned an HK P2000 in 9mm (DA/SA) for several years now and consider it one of my very favorite pistols---compact, yet shoots as well as a full-size pistol---it's been 100% reliable with any ammo I have tried and shoots right to point of aim for me. That new price is certainly better than the old price! I use a Galco leather holster: the "Concealable" model---check it out online. I liked my P2000 so much that when a used (but mint) P2000sk 9mm drifted by, I bought it as well---that pistol was fitted with the "light" LEM trigger system---it's more of a concealment pistol. I don't think you can go wrong with the P2000, but personally, I prefer 9mm in a smaller pistol...

that first DA is like 4 miles long, and then when you think its about to break, you still got like half a mile left then it goes bang.

I have dry fired it in the store and agree that the DA pull is a very long pull, but feel I can get used to it. The following Single action felt very nice and had a clean crisp break to it.

Yep, decided against the SK for that reason. LGS has both at the same price. I am planning to use as my EDC. The SK was just too small in my sasquatch paws

It's a great gun, but the DA pull sucks...

So a few votes on the trigger not being great.

Looks like that can be worked on though, and at a decent price
