1911 Commander 9mm

Again, for those who don't venture to the gunsmithing sub forum, here's my second 1911 build, a birthday present to my wife. Started a year ago then it sat around in the "projects" pile for a long time. Recent changes in the California penal code may make this my last build, but hopefully there can be positive changes in the future with this State... Not holding my breath though. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

1911builder's Commander Bobtail frame - cut frame rails and fit to slide. chase and point up diamond on 25 lpi checkering.
Fusion Firearms' 9 mm Commander slide with top serrations and press-check cut done at vendor. Fitted to frame.
10-8 rear sight at .325 height installed
Novak front sight at .185 height installed
Wilson Concealment hammer and beavertail grip safety
Wilson Lowered thumb safety
Wilson Extended slide release
Wilson Magazine release
Bar-Sto barrel, fit hood and cut lower lug.
Bar-Sto bushing fitted to slide and beveled
EGW recoil spring plug
EGW recoil spring guide GI length
EGW oversize firing pin stop fitted
Caspian 9 mm extended ejector fitted
Caspian 9 mm extractor fitted
Caspian 9 mm firing pin
Ed Brown pins
Wolff springs (13 lbs. recoil, 18 lbs. mainspring)
Harrison Design medium length trigger, disconnector, and true radius sear. Current pull weight at 4 lbs.
Challis grip bushings and grip screws.
VZ grips

Carbon slide was bead blasted and flats mirror-polished, then blued.
Stainless Barrel bushing, recoil spring plug, extractor and ejector were bead blasted, and stainless-blued.
Stainless frame and Stainless frame parts were bead blasted to match sheen.

Not a professional by any means, but these builds shoot on par with my Valor and Les Baer Premier II, in my hands.
