Witness Elite Limited vs CZ Tactical Sport

you held my witness when I got my k2 so you're familiar with the grip size. it's considerably smaller than the tactical sport which is a much higher capacity and a true double stack. if I remember you went for the k2 because of the smaller grip but the witness isn't unmanageable where as the ts could be for those with smaller hands.

Good memory. I did go with the K2 and I am quite happy with it.

I actually did shoot your TS. So sweet. I really was not looking for anything but this Tanfoglio caught my eye. Actually looking for something more pedestrian: Walther PPS M2.

I have the opportunity to get a Witness Elite Limited in 9mm. Should I consider it over a CZ?

You should definitely go for the Limited since they are hard to get. You can get TS later, but you'll be hard pressed to get a Limited.

Tac Sport trigger is around 2lbs while Limited is around 3.5-4 lbs. Grip size is very similar. Limited has extended thumb safety and is also pre drilled for optics or thumb rest. Has adjustable rear sight too.

CalGun answer, get both because they are awesome. You won't regret it. And while you are at it, get a Sig P226 X5 too.

Disclosure: I have all three in the picture (Limited is a .45, 226 has wood/Nill grips and magwell and TS has custom work from CZ Custom so it looks similar to the one in the photo).

Both TS and Tanfoglio are the same design with slide going inside the rail, fixed barrel, same disassembly sequence, low bore axis, etc. TS has lighter trigger and after custom work it's nothing short of amazing. I haven't done anything to Tanfoglio, so the trigger is a tad worse - slight creep, heavier and just a bit gritty.

If you pass on Limited, I'd be more than happy to buy it in 9mm.

The EAA trigger is better, no creep and very smooth. The CZ trigger is fine, perhaps crisper but with creep.

This is how my SP-01 was before CGW and how my P-01 is currently, but TS has no creep whatsoever.

My experience is exactly the opposite. Strange.
