I got it as a consignment sale via an LEO who bought it as his duty weapon and was then told by the Chief that they don't use Sigs.... It came with six magazines and a Bianchi double magazine holster. Excellent price, as well.
Yours is early 1992. It has the old style hammer and the frame is not the reinforced type. DO NOT SHOOT +P you will likely reduce the life of the frame if you feed it a steady diet of +p ammo. Once in a while is fine but keep it to a minimum. It also does not have the hammer rebound spring.

        Ok, thanks much!

Interesting that it's marked "W. Germany" in 1992 when the German reunification happened in 1990...

Sig used the W Germany rollmark up until 1995. There was a law in place that lasted five years that said WG companies could still use W Germany. It was feared at the time that Germany= E Germany and therefore a lesser quality product.

A while back I called Sig and asked about a new slide for my P238 - I wanted one without the LCI. They would only sell me an LCI slide if I was in CA. I decided to get used to it.

That's funny. That's actually why I sent in a P229 and P226. I wanted no LCI. They sent them back to me with no issues. They would have sold me just the slide but they have parts allocated for sale and some allocated for 'repair'. The for sale parts were OOS but they had slides available for 'repair'. Even paid for my shipping there and back.

You might be surprised with the number of people with an excess of both.

If you take off the grips. There is a date code inside
It looks like a clock the arrow points to the month.

You need both if you have a 1911.
