    Walther ppk/s

I am looking to get a Walther PPK/S 22. Does anyone know what the quality is on the new PPK compared to older models? I am also told by some dealers that there is a delay in the new Walther PPK coming out because of some issues with parts. Does anyone know anything about that?

I've been pondering the same, haven't had much time to look more into it, but the biggest thing right off the bat is American vs German made. There's a very long lineage of variants and changes to the PPK series, hopefully someone more expert can weigh in.

Too late: the PPK and the PPK/S are not on the state's roster anymore....

I have never held a new PPK 22 but read reports that they used a lesser metal than the older style. Not many good reports but that was from a collectors board.

Actually quite a few of them are on the Curio / Relic roster because they're so old (50+ years)

The roster itself says any Manurhin PP / PPK's are good to go (those are post WW2 French manufactured PP's)

As for that new Walther PPK .22 its got a threaded barrel so its illegal as ****.

I've handled the "new PPK/s" and have an older West German made Interarms import in 22 lr. The new one seems well made and fine, but all that matte anodized alloy just doesn't do it - kind of like dressing Sofia Vergara in a burlap sack. The Interarms is all steel, high polish and well fitted. The West German models cost about twice as much (depending on condition and version) and worth it I'd say.

It's a great little plinker and very reliable. Taking it to the range means going through at least 3 boxes of ammo. Most are C & R and easy to get into CA.

How about PPK/s in .380? Any advice on those?

Had one, stolen and always wanted to replace it.
