I don't have the flat faced but I have the apex FSS kit with polymer trigger and absolutely love it!! I have apex components on ALL of my m&p pistols. They make the guns a blast to shoot! An absolute must!

If you have an M&P you need to install Apex parts in it. I recommend the FSS

Got the FSS and trigger kit on mine.. it's the way the guns should come from the factory.

I have a friend that has a M&P9 and he has the Apex flat face trigger on them and loves it, to him it's well worth the money.

I may have to get one of these for my M&P 9 seeing that I can't shoot it anywhere near as well as my P226 or 1911's. I already have the duty kit installed which helped lighten the pull but I don't think I'm getting along with just how much of a curve the stock trigger has.

You'll hate it. Terrible trigger. So terrible I had to do both guns.

I'll be the first to say I didn't like it. It has a cleaner break but there is still a lot of junk in the takeup and it increased over travel by 2mm, which really affects the handling of the gun.

I would have been happier spending the money on having a gunsmith clean up the trigger and reshape the sear. YMMV

In all seriousness the trigger in the 45 was absolutely horrible. So I did that one first. Liked it so well I did the CORE too. And the CORE trigger was actually decent to start with. The improvement on the 45 was night and day. The improvement on the CORE wasn't as dramatic but still an improvement. But I liked the idea of essentially have the same trigger in both guns. There's about a half a pound difference between the two.

I'm also a huge fan of the flat faced design. It's probably as close to a 1911 type trigger as you're going to get in a non 1911 gun. I would do it all again without hesitation. Flat faced with forward set sear is the way to go IMO. And you can do it yourself which helps offset the price of the kit...cause it's a tad pricey. But at least you don't have to pay $100 for freight to ship it off to a smith (on top of paying a smith).

I love my Flat FSS, I have the DCAEK on my Shield and it's almost as good. I can dramatically tell the difference but they are both exponentially better than the stock trigger.

I would ask what your intention is for the gun, for range the Flat is awesome. If you plan on carrying it I would go Duty carry curved. For anything in between the FSS curved will be fine.

I have the Flat FSS for my 9mm FS, it is my range toy, The Shield has the DCAEK Aluminum curved and it awesome for carry, and then the .45 I am putting the aluminum curved FSS on it next. The .45 is my camping/fishing/hiking gun so the curved will be plenty. I am jsut deciding between the poly trigger or the aluminum. Every one says the poly has a scalloped edge and has a bit of flex so it is better but I am pretty happy with the solid aluminum feel.

Hope that helps. You really cannot go wrong with the Flat trigger.

There are quite a few option when considering Apex parts for your M&P. You may not like one combination but another may feel good to you.
