Any of my fellow calgunners have any experience with the flatface apex trigger on the m&p9? Is it worth the upgrade?

I love mine, personal preference. Overall the trigger makes the gun that much better
My wife thinks I only have 3 guns -
I don't have one on a m and p but I love my apex triggerComment

installed on my M&P 9 and M&P 40 VTAC. Love the flat face but agree with waves layer- flat or bow its personal preference and me personally, flatty. Regardless the APEX parts I've replaced on both M&Ps have been significant improvements with the trigger being night and day.Comment

Good to hear will be ordering a kit in the near future thenComment

I have them on both the Shield and an M&P pro. Its a shocking difference...huge improvement for a range gun while still maintaining the reset. Easy to install too.
Now I'm not sure if I would want it on a carry gun...as it gives you more of a target trigger. The trigger face itself has a much nicer feel than those stock plastic triggers.

I have the FSS and RAM on a 5" PRO CORE ported and it makes the gun. It's the best trigger on a polymer gun that I own. I have ZEV blocks and it's a great trigger. The RAM is great if you like a good reset on your trigger. I would highly recommend it."never bother your enemy while he is making a mistake" ......NapoleonComment

I've also been wanting to pick up a kit for my Shield 9, so thanks for sharing that.Comment

I don't have the flat apex trigger on my m&p I have the older one, and it's a godsend.
IMO, a full apex setup on an m&p is by far the best trigger you will get on a striker fired gun.Comment

I got a bunch of Apex upgrade parts for my M&P which had the 2nd worst trigger I have ever found on a gun... the 1st being a Polish police service P-64.
The Apex parts did make a difference but it was subtle, not the dramatic improvement that was wanted and needed. By contrast when I have sent guns out to a smith for trigger/action work, they come back dramatically improved. Maybe further attention by a pro would help, but I suspevt it is the guns basic design that is largely to blame. The one thing worse than defeat is surrender.Comment

Send your gun to Karl the Trigger Guy. He's a vendor here on the forum and does great trigger work on M&P pistols. He's done 3 guns for me and it's cheaper than the cost of a full Apex trigger kit.Comment
