    Ruger Redhawk CA ok?

Was thinking about buying a Ruger Redhawk from a friend of mine that lives in Colorado. Only problem is I don't know if it is CA approved. I looked on the roster but they just go by model numbers, but I don't see a model number on this gun. This one is a 44mag with a 6 1/2 inch barrel and I don't see any of them on the roster that have a 6 1/2 inch barrel in 44 mag. The serial number dates it back to production date of 1989. So I'm assuming this is a no go for California, Correct?
    Thanks

For revolvers find a dealer that will do SAE, that way roster does not apply for almost any revolver.

I see you're in the northern Cali part of town. Here's a link to some info I found.

              I apologize. I'm geographically challenged.

So is Baboosh. He's a dealer in Alta Loma and can do the SAO conversion for you.

                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

OP, you sure about the 6.5" barrel length? I never knew they made such an animal. 4, 5.5 and 7.5, yes. All on roster too. But a brief search yielded no results on a 6.5, past or present.

So if you really want your friend's revolver, by all means go the SAE route, which will take time and money. Compare that to getting a new one and decide.

Too much effort and not worth spending the$$. It will be cheaper just to buy one here in CA in the end.
                    Thanks

There is no extra money, we charge nothing for SAE if bought through us.

Just tell us what model you want, and we do it. I can get you an OTD cost.

Ok, guys, a little late on the reply, but, it turns out is is a 7.5 barrel not a 6.5. So It looks like it is on roster. But I am not exactly sure which model it would be. They show a KRH-44 and a KRH-44R. I don't know the difference would be. But this one has the notches for mounting a scope on it and it has rubber grips.
Baboosh, My buddy is going to be coming down from CO in June with the gun. Any problem doing the transfer thru you?
                        Thanks
