Does it actually say .38 super? Might be 9mm largo......

Star made a fair amount of guns in 9mm Largo.

yeah it has it on one side, (.38 superior) but im thinking of getting one in 9mm for myself

Until you get a new barrel with a compensator, to handle the brutal recoil, all new springs, a cerakote job and new rubber grips, I wouldn't waste the money on proper caliber identification & ownership.

I have already traced the make and model and knew the caliber beforehand, and the recoil is actually not that bad, but I plan on getting one for myself and refurbishing it

close, very close sir. its a star made model a, very very similar to llama they probably used the same parts as they are both from the same region and time but the markings say its a star made gun and it is from around that time as well haha, you know your stuff.

AHA! you have cracked the code, i didnt find much from older llama models because they didnt make that many, and star was more popular back then but apparently it could be a llama mark IV but it has the exact same markings that star does, just some very small changes in the slide... they are just too similar
