    Great Guns

I've test fired the M&P in 9mm and .45. They are great guns. I liked the M&P 9mm better than the Glock 9mm, which I can't say anything bad about. They are good guns too.

I have an HK P2000 which is a great gun, but shoots totally different from the M&P or any other striker fire pistol. It reminds me of having a high cap revolver with a custom action job. Smoothest trigger pull I've ever experienced in a semi-auto pistol.

My goal is to collect one of each to suit my mood at the time.

I have the M&P9. I thought the XD was a comfy gun; the M&P makes shooting the XD feel like I'm "servicing" a cactus. :P

The people over at brianenos.com (hard-core USPSA shooters) prefer the M&P over other plastic guns. That speaks volumes to me.

I shoot USPSA and I'll say that as you become better and better, the 'gun' of choice becomes less critical. Sure the Enos guys love the M&P (I do to) but look at what Sevigny uses and how dominant he is. Not to discount the qualities of the M&P, but they're all very, very good guns with their subtle nuances. I own the G34, G35, XD Tactical 9mm and the M&P 9mm and i really like them all.. Just for how i approach competitive shooting, I prefer the Glock- this is a far cry from saying that G-lock is the only way to go..

Regardless, I dont think you can go that far off the mark with any of the major 3- Glock, SA or S&W. Just try to align what's really important for YOU and then pick the best fit.. As I said, they all have their nuances and imho, one isn't necessarily BETTER than the any other..

The M&P's are great guns. My 40 Compact is my favorite and the only 40 I own. I also have the full size 45 and a 9. Interchangeable grips and a 1911 angle. Can't go wrong!

I got it due to all the great reviews, and the way if fit my small hands.

Of course, I'm not saying to drink any kool-aid, I'm just saying that there is a reason for a large fan-base.

                        Love my M&P45 (w/manual safety)..

I got rid of my Glock 21 after getting it.

This reminds me, gotta order my Storm Lake match barrel now....

                          I really like the M&P's.

Just a quick question....why is it that on most of them, the front part of the rail seems to be bent downwards a little? I like my guns to be straight and tight, and that little part gets to me a bit.

Also, will the M&P Pro ever be CA legal?

I bought my fullsize .40 today. Wife liked the feel of the compact but we did not shoot that. Now the wait...........

Another vote for the M&P. I've got a full size 9mm with well over 2k rounds now and the only failure to fire was ONE round which had a bad primer.

Took a two day pistol class where we shot ~700-800 rounds and it ran flawlessly. IMHO, you can't go wrong with the M&P.

My M&P .45 is my nightstand gun. It always goes to the range or desert with me as well. The missus likes shooting it too.
