I got the Tactical Training Laser Cartridge from Amazon for $50, printed my own target and use a free program called Sharp Spotter. I happened to have a webcam laying around, but it'd only costs about $10 from Amazon anyway.

It's been working great so far. The only downsides are:
    - The target can't be very well lit, and
    - every time you move the target or the webcam, you'll have to adjust the mapping; if you are not too picky, it only takes a few seconds.

Hi everyone. The sirt came in. It's pretty great. The trigger is adjustable crisp and very nice. The laser indicator for reset can be turned off and is independently adjustable. It automatically resets which is to me a huge advantage to a magic bullet and having to rack the slide or pull back the hammer after every shot. The software hasn't Hernandez come in but so far I'm ver pleased.

And we used to think we were "high-tech",
shooting homemade wax bullets at targets in someone's basement.

Of course if it wasn't revolver you had rack the slide after every shot back then also,
and on top of that there was the wax projectile ricochet possibility.

I just wrote above about the sirt. See one post above. It's great! So far I only have the gun not the software. Looking forward
            To practicing target shooting.

              From a separate thread:
Hi everyone. I just received the sirt. It's pretty fantastic. I got the smith and Wesson version not the glock version. You can turn off the prep light if you wish. The weight is fantastic. It feels solid like a full size 1911. Finally my trigger is great. It had a good crisp release and you can make it heavier or lighter pull as you wish with an Allen wrench. So far I'm very pleased with it. The software hasn't arrived yet. But for dry fire it allows me practice without having to rack the slide after each trigger pull.
              So far I'm very pleased.
