Cz75 looks quite a bit sleeker than the Sigs, but looks aren't everything... I've never even held any of the suggestions so I'll def have to hit the LGS to fondle... I'm not looking for something to carry, so size isn't important. This will be purely range fun...

Let me tell you.. once you have a CZ 75 in your hands, you're going to wonder why the heck you haven't gotten one yet. I'm a dyed in the wool S&W fan for over 40 years... I have many S&W 3rd gen pistols and revolvers, which includes a rare Performance Center 4006 IDPA model, of which only 12 were made (bottom row, 3rd from the right).



I just got a CZ75 BD in October... wow, the grip feels like CZ handed someone a block of modeling clay to grip and then duplicated that shape on the gun, it feels that good. It is a sleek frame, much the way a Browning Hi-Power is, in fact the CZ 75 is like they combined the features of a Hi-Power and 1911... and the CZ 75 has one of the best feeling out of the box triggers that only gets only better with use. Changing out the heavy 20lb hammer spring to a 15lb (a very easy operation) makes it even better.

Yeah, I'm now a CZ fanboy... much to the distress of my S&W's.

^^^ I agree, some nice guns there... and thanks for the recommendation gunhacker, that's the kind of guidance I was looking for! A longtime S&W fan that held a cz and saw the light, so to speak. Not that there's anything wrong with the S&W but the cz is like a wet dream!

*IF* you can find one, my favorite since 1993 is my Firestar M40.
little gun, big punch, soft recoil. very wife&daughter friendly. the weight helps soak up the recoil and the single stack mag slims the grip for small hands. I've owned mime since new and it never leaves my side.

Just saw a firestar 9 in a LGS on Saturday, had never even heard of them before that... the guy underrated it as only being "a small step above a Jennings" so I walked on, but upon research when I got home they have a lloyal following and run pretty well. Not a big 9mm shooter but if I found a .40 someday I might jump on it... cute lil thing.

CZ SP01 Tactical .40 , if you can find one and purchase it off roster.

You want a 40sw range toy? CZ tactical sport.

The CZ40B is nice... one of those that's still on roster so you might catch one on Gun Broker.
