All metal frame .40

I'm starting to get the shakes for a new pistol after the first of the year, and I've been thinking about trying something new. Looking for option/suggestions for an all metal gun in .40, open to any platform at this point as it will pretty much only be range toy. Wanting to stick with .40 to keep calibers to a minimum. On or off roster, new or used... go! Thanks!

I like the Sig P229 - it's very well made and not too big. The Para Ordnance P16-40 is nice too, although if you can't stuff 18 rounds (with +2 floor plates) into its fat belly you'd be better off with a single-stack 1911.

Pretty much open to anything at this point. So far I've tried to stick to glocks and kahrs for their ease of use and concealability, but I'm trying to broaden my horizons with this one. Educate me, sky's the limit with the suggestions!

Sig P239/40 SAS fits the bill. IMHO, it's the perfect EDC.

You could go Sig if you like that sort of thing.....

Also you can't over look the High Power

^^^^+1 on P239 if you are looking for CCW. Incredibly sweet shooter in a compact size, great trigger in single action mode. Mags only hold 7 rounds, though.

For a full size HD weapon or range use, consider a Beretta 96. Can get your full CA ration of 10 rounds in, combat proven reliability, sexy Italian lines to boot.
