    Sig X5

Anyone know where to get good info on the X5 series and variants? Sigs website has nothing, searches are sporatic. I am specifically looking for info On the X5 Tactical series and it's variants.

The Sig X5s are similar to Sig 1911s, everything is included, except for a few minor differences, most of which are cosmetic. The big difference between the X5 tac and all other X5s, is the aluminum frame.

X5's are no longer in production but will likely be coming back sometime next year. The mastershop in Germany is closed and the rumor is that production in the US will start soon. Because of this prices are thru the roof.

                  good luck in your search!

I had a 220 X-Six and a 226 X-FIVE entry. Only sigs I've ever had that weren't total pieces of ****. Sold the X6 and the X5 now lives at my out of state but out safe.

I miss the X6 but divorces ain't cheap

Here are some of the newer X5's. I have an older X5 Competition in .40 and it's a nice work of art. They are very hefty and a somewhat larger grip. I have not felt the Tactical but with an aluminum frame, it is definitely lighter. Even the X5 trigger can be improved upon to make it as good as the L1 adjustable trigger.

I don't understand what you are saying here. The X5 is nothing like the 1911. It is based on the P226.
