I got them from an uncle of mine who passed away and I reside in the Sacramento area. I also found out that the model 19-3 has less than a 100 rounds fired and was purchased new in the mid 70's and to my eye, looks brand new. The 19-5 has about 500 rounds but it also looks like new. They both have 6" barrels.

Wow, sorry for the loss of your Uncle. However, in his passing, you acquired two very nice revolvers. The model 19 is a super platform. By your description, the two you have are better than most you will see for sale. I have a 2.5 incher that has a bobbed hammer. Great little carry piece. IMO, the 19 is one of the must haves for any collection, even more so of they have some sentimental meaning for you.

You should keep them - nothing shoots like an old 19 - they just fit the hand so well and are IMO the perfectly balanced revolver.

You'll be bummed if you sell them.

And here is a 4" M19-3 I picked up in Sac several years ago for about $300 or $350. This was a carry gun when I got it, with some holster wear. Great shooter.
