Glock match grade barrel

Do any of the match grade barrels put up significant results to justify the price $160+? I'm particularly looking at the wilson combat and the s3f solutions match grade barrel. Leaning towards the sf3 because they offer a black nitride barrel rather than jus stainless.

I'm asking this mainly because I can get 2 inch groups with my cz p01 and my sig 1911 from 7-10 yards. But with my g22 and my g19 its more around 5-6 inch groups.

I figured it's the polymer frame or maybe it's just me, but I've put thousands of rounds thru my glocks and I really like the way they feel. I just want a little more accuracy.

Have not. Usually run the same brand thru all tho. Mostly Sellior bellot and American eagle. I've ran blazer brass and lawman as well but not recently. Also aguila. What ammo in particular is best or better?

At 7-10 yards, it is most likely shooter error if you can not get 2" groups. I am not a Glock fan but changing out to a match grade barrel might help a little but ultimately you need to spend more time and learn how to shoot the Glock. The grip angle is different, the stock sights are not that good and the trigger pull needs to be learned.

If you do change to a match grade barrel, I heard the KKM is the best.

Carry ammo is usually the best to determine accuracy. Keep in mind that even if you get a match barrel, it will still yield different results depending on the ammo you put in. Sights also play a factor. i would contemplate getting adjustable sights or RDS vs using standard fixed rear sights to maximize the potential of the barrel.

This reminds me, I need to hit the range right now to get more familiar. Also, I have 3 dot night sight's for my g22 and the wilson combat sights for the g19.

This link is pushing me more towards the sf3. I don't really shoot pass 25 yards. I also like less expensive ammo. Thanks for that link btw.

Storm Lake makes good barrels that are affordable.

That said, as stated above if you're not able to easily shoot 2" groups at 10 yards, save your money for ammo. The barrel will make no difference. It does not overcome operator issues. While Glocks are not Bullseye competition guns, they're not known for poor accuracy.

Get a realistic trigger (Zev, etc) in the Glock, then re-evaluate.

If your Glocks are your SD/HD guns, then I suggest not to change anything. I am repeating other posters stated, the match barrel will not help.

With training and practice, you should be able to achieve 2-inch groups with any guns and any ammos from 7 yards.

I would be willing to bet that if you took the STOCK barrel out of a Glock (or anything), put it in a rail gun, put match ammo in and shot it, even at 100 yards, you'd be under 2 inches.

The good news is it isn't the gun. The bad news is classes are more expensive than a replacement barrel. The silver lining is that the classes teach the monkey behind the gun so it doesn't matter what the gun is.
