Hollow points jamming issue with Glocks

Ok, if you have hollow points ammo and if you have a Glock 9mm, can you please help me out...

Try to lock the slide back, and have 1 and ONLY 1 round in your magazine, and try to release your slide lock and chamber that round...

Please tell me if you CAN do that or if the round get jammed in the ramp?

Please let me know which model of Glock you have and which model of magazines do you have - 10 rounds, hi-cap(15rounds, 17rounds) or ultra-hi-cap(33rounds) etc...

If you have any other caliber, feel free to try that and report back here...

I am trying to figure out, if this is indeed an issue, or that my springs in my well used mags are about to go out....

I never had any issue when using them normally..... (loading full mag, and regular reloadings)

    Thanks guys....

Sounds like a weak follower or mag issue, what kind of ammo? I had a pair of mags from an original 1988 G-17 that had the same problem, I threw in some new springs and followers and the problem fixed right up. As far as anything else, I have not had that specific problem with normal mags or hollow point ammunition. In any case, I would recommed some new mags.

I first discovered this issue with my reloads.... but then I stock 5 other HP 9mm.... like Federal's +P +P+ etc.. they all have similar issues on the couple of mag that have the issue....

I *also* think that it is just that the mags being "well used".... since some of my newer mag doesn't have the same issue, those have different followers tho...

Look at the follower, and tell us what's the number on it.

I had that same problem too when I first got my G19 w/ 10 round mag using JHP. I called up Glock and ask them to sent me some 9mm4 and 9mm5 follower to replace the 2183 or what ever follower that came with the 10 round, problem fix.

By the way, it is my G19, and sacastically, the mags that i have issues are my 10 rounds mag.... my 15 rounders are fine... and my 33 rounders are fine.... BUT i guess, I treat my hi-cap'ers better than my 10 rounders....

Ok, the one I issues are "2183-1"

Try pull out the followers from your 15 rounds then put it in your 10 rounds and see if the problem goes away.

I use HydraShocks on my G19. I have not problems what so ever! And it's on a 10rnd mag.

Check to see if your mag springs are weak.

I recall something similar happening with my g20. I replaced the followers and springs with Wolf kits. Understand it is a completely different gun, but the symptoms are the same. I would replace the springs at the very least if the mags are well used, and the followers to be safe.

Is there anything else I can buy/replace to fix this?

G19 & G26 here. All good with 5 different HPs. Old silvertips, Hydroshok 115gr & 124gr, old Black talons, Blazers CCI & S&B HP.

Got to be your mag springs. I had the same issue with my 1st gen 15 rds a while back. Did a complete rebuilt & no issues since.

                            Mag. springs or follower problems.

All "tupperware" and Kb! comments aside, stock Glocks feed every type of hollowpoint available, first round to last round.

                              Wait, what?

Anyway, I have a G19 and have no problems with all 12 of my 10-round mags. I'm pretty sure that I have two different types of followers, but lemme look tonight and see if I have any of them have the same follower number that you're having problems with.
