    It has to arrive as a V9. The part number on the box will decipher what variant it is.

      You can but conversion from V1 to V9 has to be done outside of CA.

      Change variant on USP is easy two minutes job, you need a V9 detent plate and follow this video to swap from V1 to V9. Video say V1-2 to V3-4 but V1 to V9 just use V9 detent plate instead.

        What if I buy a used gun off gunbroker, and it has no box, and no way of telling what variant it is?
