    1911 purchase question

OMG, cant believe im here again. But, I have saved and its time for another 1911. I am leaning towards one with a rail. I currently own a Springer Mil Spec with some mods (Beavertail, combat hammer, trijicon sights and vz grips) in stainless.

My budget is $1,000 to $,1400 after taxes.

I have done a lot of searching and reading, I just cant decide and wanted to hear the gallery debate on what and why. Thanks in advance!

What will I use it for? Well... I am a fan of 1911's.. That's all!

Edit: Price can go up a tad, if I wait a month.

Springfield mc operator, they go for about 1300 but can be had for a little less if you look around.

That is actual 1 of the top on my list. I see a store that has them currently at $1,129 on sale.

          1911

Master the only you have ..Unless you want to move up. I often see people (including myself) bounce from gun to gun looking for the best new gun... at one time I had 14 1911s. I sold them all and bought a trp operator and a reloading press (dillionxl650) Four years later and I am still hard at it. Practice practice

Used TRP or Colt Railgun, don't pay taxes on PPT and maxmize your $$.

                  Why TRP over MC operator?

Front strap checkering, bull barrel, magwell, adjustable rear sight, no weird (for my taste) green/black two tone

TRP= not a bull barrel. Has a regular bushing, but with a two-piece full-length guide rod that you have to unscrew. (Except the operator model, which does have a type of bull barrel.).
