Conversion Kit?

Do not let the people convince you that reloading 9 MM saves that much money.
Also if you shoot at a range that does not allow you to pick up your brass or shoot in grassy areas the picking up brass component of reloading that saves you money becomes a big time sink hole.
Reloading for 9 MM can be done...but a 22 conversion kit makes it so you do not have worry about reusing brass. Also no one considers the time commitment and equipment costs to be able to reload whether it be fast or slow and almost all the reloaders value their time at zero dollars per hour.
And I do reload, in fact this weekend "re"loaded 1000 9 MM rounds.

Now the dedicated 22 pistol vs conversion kit is a whole different story.

I have many 22 LR dedicated pistols and also have conversion kits for my Beretta 92FS, 1911, Sig P220 and Sig P226 with a dedicated 22 upper for my AR-15.
I would say I shoot my Browning Buckmark better than I do any pistol conversion kit. But now half of the rounds that I shoot through my 1911's are 22 LR instead of 45 ACP. I find the conversion kits to let me do things like get used to a pistols ergonomics and develop muscle memory.

BTW, How do you develop muscle memory when you have many guns?

I'd say at this point your better off spending $300 or more on 9mm ammo, as we only have limited time left to buy it. The 4-6 months after the election 9mm is going to be hard to get and probably the same for the last couple months before the CA ammo ban goes into effect.

I rented a Buckmark to try last week @ the range. It seemed heavy and the ask for $400-450.

Shame it's off roster.... If you see an M&P 22 in the classifieds, grab it. Great gun and far more reliable. I never shoot my AA any more.


Of course... that could start you down a dark and perilous path!
