    Glock polymer 17 slide issue

Have a polymer Glock 17 the slide locks back after each round. Fires perfect when slide released home, but locks back after firing. Is the slide stop installed incorrectly???

Does it function in dry fire?

Your slide stop is installed incorrectly. I had the exact same problem. Disassemble the interior, then carefully reassemble, using Youtube or other internet instructions as a guide.

Take the slide off, look at the slide stop, lift it with your finger and let it go, it should snap down. If it doesn't then its not installed correctly. The pin is probably in the way of the spring.

If its not that its your grip.. let someone else shoot it.

                Did you dissemble it recently?

The spring on the slide stop must be below the upper pin. If not, it will lock open after each round is fired.

                  Easy fix

That's pretty much always the cause. I've put the spring in wrong myself once.

                          The slide is not polymer.
