I'm surprised it took 16 comments before someone mentioned the PCR. Out of the bunch, that would be my first choice. I used to have the idea that the smallest most concealable pistol is best (hence my P938), but recently have moved my focus toward midsized DA/SA pistols. Everyone's different, and will need to find what works for them.

My 3 are:

1. CZ P-01
2. Sig P228
3. Sig P938

2. USP 9C
3. Sig P938 (for those hot summer days in light clothing)

I like the idea of a double stack, single stack, and a revolver. I have the HK P2000, Kahr P380, and am getting a j frame. Cover all your bases for dress and occasion.

GLock 43, p938,
and a full size for colder months or being out in the desert like a glock 19.
Do NOT conceal a RTF2 glock. I've destroyed many shirts and bellies with that texturing.

Normally I would say Glock 19 Gen 3 or 4 instead of the Glock 26 if you have pre-ban mags. But as of January, those mags will be illegal. So that's why I recommend the Glock 26.

Glock 23, Glock 42 and Shield 9 or .40 are my recommendations. That's my lineup except sub the shield 40 with an XDS-45. The Glock 42 is the best for summer and/or minimal clothing. The 23 is my main go to. The shield is the happy medium size wise.

Oops. Forgot that I have a P-01 as well.

From your collection, I would choose:
Glock 43
S&W M&P Shield 9

Initially I thought something very similar, but now I have second thoughts. Do people think that the Glock 43 and the Shield 9 so similar that it's redundant to have both on the CCW?

FWIW I carry a M&P Shield and Glock 19.

As another poster stated, I would check with the West Covina PD to make sure they are issuing CCWs. My understanding, and I could be way wrong, is that many cities near LA don't like to issue CCWs to "commoners"
