Which NERF 1911?

I am waiting to hear the good news and at the same time looking for a nice frame.

I could go for the old reliable and try to buy a series 70 Colt.

No series 80 BS for me.

Or I could start with something new.

Caspian used to list bar stock frames but I can't find them now, I have sent an email asking about them.

Who else makes a nice forged or bar stock single stack frame?

I don't want a casting!

Does anyone know who makes a compact size 1911 frame?

I was thinking about it and a Commander length barrel on a compact frame chambered in 10mm would be kind of neat.

If the 10mm is too much I could re-barrel for .40 S&W. Either way I still get 7 rounds in a magazine and with the 10mm they are arguably more powerful than .45.

Oh, if STI made a single stack polymer grip frame I would probably be looking at that too.
