That's good shooting. Have you tried testing other brand of ammo with the Les Baer?

You're shooting factory with the Glock, but you're shooting remanufactured with the Les Baer. If that ammo have mix brass it will have big variations in pressure, and velocity due to variations in bullet crimp, case length, primer pockets/holes. I'm betting the grouping will be much better with the Baer if factory ammo is used. Redo the test for the Baer.

That's what I suspected. I shoot lots of FM reman and I don't think you'd have those flier's at 15 with factory.

Nice shooting OP! Shows you have the shooting fundamentals & trigger discipline. Generally, 1911s & Glocks have the easiest triggers than most to allow more accurate shooting and tight groupings. However, my conclusion is that you should be able to pick up practically any pistol and shoot accurately with tight groupings. Have you tried other pistols from other manufacturers?

The 1911 is not more accurate, mechanically speaking...but it absorbs more user technique errors. The trigger is hard to mess up as it doesn't move then breaks cleanly. The Glock trigger has more of a "pinball machine" trigger where you still have finger motion to finish cocking the striker then releasing it.

Baer gives a 3" and you can get a 1.5" on a bench rest at 50 yards. I've never heard of Glocks having an accuracy guarantee (other 1911 manufacturers also have guarantees).

I think mechanically speaking, you can get a 1911 tighter than a Glock since they lock up differently. Then again, all these guarantees are bench rested...which nobody really does.

Strictly speaking of design then yes. But obviously a Les Baer is fitted and has a match grade barrel. Much like a match grade barrel and some other tweaks to a Glock will make it outshoot a run of the mill 1911.

I do like shooting my 1911, but my Glock gets carried and would get grabbed first if needed.

I'm a 1911 guy myself but also have a glock. I have always shake the glocks are great reliable guns but I hate the feel and triggers but some love them.

I only got my clock for the 10mm and it was in my budget. I still use my 1911 as my main target gun and glock for a camp gun.

Yes. I shoot HK, Sig, CZ, Chiappa rhino, Karhr, M&P. The ones that I sucked most were the M&P and Kahr.

Nice shooting...why 16 yards and not 15?

It was actually 16.7 yards (50 ft), the longest distance from Firing Line Indoor range.
