I like the overall clean look, I've shot a Smolt or 2 in the past, and what really impresses me is the workmanship...a custom made pistol. 629's up here are common, moreso in the norther part of the state. l thought it might be interesting to get a gun far less common. If I were John Linebaugh shooting cape buffalo stem to stern, I'd take the extra weight of a super redhawk, given it's .44 mag, I think the Smith barrel looks a bunch better than the Ruger, especially the full length underlug.

If you put a tether inside that lanyard it turns that revolver into a Tactical AW. I'm just sayin.

I thought that was only if you were caught with the stock against your shoulder. If you did that, you'd probably start a trend in custom ear reduction services...no stitches, instant cautery.

This is not California. If you've got the money, a weapon meeting the original definition of an "assault" weapon can be had legally.

Turns out the gentleman from whom I bought the gun is the gunsmith who did the work, other than the hard chrome. His name is Thomas Richardson.

My MO was delivered an hour ago. I'd expect the gun to ship tomorrow so I should see it Wednesday or Thursday latest. It's a run to WM tonight for some .44 special and mag ammo.

I dig it. The satin finish really reminds me of like a toy cap gun or something from my childhood. Now it's a big boy toy.
