    S&W Shield45

I'm not saying that I would necessarily want one... But I would at least like the ability to get one if I suddenly did want one. Damn CA...

Even if S&W makes one, you're never getting it unless you become a cop or leave Kalifornistan. They will be right over the border in Havasu and Vegas gun shops, taunting you.

Silly gun. The barrel is too short for most .45 hollow points to work as intended. Such a small gun needs to be in 9mm or smaller. Save your envy for something better.

having owned a few short barreled .45 pistols with limited capacity

i've accepted the fact that their 9mm versions are faster, lighter, easier to shoot, and carry more bullets.

Ya, I had a XDs45. It was a punisher for me. I was lucky and found a local guy with the 9mm version and we made the trade.

Wouldn't standard pressure rounds suffice for such a short barrel? I run non +Ps HPs in my tiny guns.
Like I said, I don't necessarily want one but I would love to try one at the range (it's not too common to find off roster rentals here in SoCal ranges) and have at least the option to buy one.

I own and love my off roster 9mm shield and it's amazing how easy it is to shoot.

yes, it's the fact that we can't get one if we want that bugs me the most.

I'm going to have to agree with this one. I have the XDS45 3.3" and it has some bark to it. Not very accurate. Enjoy shooting my Shield 9mm more, and way more accurate too.

Strange. One of the surprising things about the XDS 45 was the lack of felt recoil. My wife hgot one initially and she immediately was able to put reliable groups downrange. I shot it and like it so much, I bought one for myself. It would be interesting to see the technique of those who find it otherwise.

It think a higher grip makes it more manageable, and maybe that takes some practice for those used to a full sized frame.

That's why you carry the hollow points that are capable of expansion without higher velocities ....230 gr Hst will work fine for an everyday carry.

When I first saw that picture I thought it was a photoshop job, but then I went to their website and saw it listed.

Looks like someone pre-stippled the grip.

S&W sent me an email for a contest to win one. I guess they don't realize I live in California.
