Another option.
I have a Kahr P380 that has a similar problem. It has black sights and a stainless/silver lci, that covers about 2/3 of the front sight. The simplest solution is to blacken the top of the lci. A sharpie/felt pen works ok (it needs to be reapplied occasionally as it is not very durable). Paint would probably be a better solution, but, the sharpie works.
Give it a try. It's cheap (everyone has or can borrow a felt pen).
I really don't get all the hoopla about lci's, as long as they don't cause a problem, as yours obviously does. On my Sig P238, it is offset to the side and doesn't obscure the front sight, making it a non issue for me.
