If accuracy is the main issue, have you considered a revolver chambered in
      9mm ??

The one 9mm I shoot with the most accuracy on a consistent basis is the Beretta 92 series.

Seeing that the roster does not matter I'd say HK VP9 for striker or HK P30L for DA/SA. Both are very accurate and have good triggers out of the box.

AP as a SFPD trainer, I think you know the answer.

In my experience as an end-user - the HK P7M8. Efficient manual of arms.
Fixed barrel - I've seen guys put optics on it to shoot bulleye matches - the P7 system is very precise.

No, not in production. That is why these pistols command a king's ransome to get a good one.

                S&W M&P 9

A full size S&W M&P 9 will shoot very accurately right out of the box. I carried one as a Parole Agent, only chambered in 40 cal, and I swear I couldn't miss with that thing. Plus you can change the grip size to fit your hand.

Accuracy depends on the shooter maybe look at the higher end Sig P226 or 229. They are smooth and accurate, The only thing I hated about the Sig was the slide release location, other then that it was a great shooter. Glocks, SW MP9, HK VP9 are great pistols, I have never been a Beretta fan.

I shoot Glock as a personal choice and sometimes for work. I shoot Beretta and Sig for work.

I shot Glock for 6-7 years before switching to M&P for 2-3 years. I've now gone back to Glock from M&P.

I shoot any of those guns well because I can do my part.

Which one is inherently more accurate is irrelevant.

The only valid question is which one can you shoot more accurately.

There are probably only a few dozen people for whom the accuracy of any popular gun is THE limiting factor in their ability to shoot well.

                      Here's a good overview.

Very accurate. Best factory striker fired trigger IMO. Easy to adapt to.

It's all in the shooters hands. Do you have the fundamentals down? Most importantly, trigger control. If you can't press that trigger straight back smoothly, it doesn't matter what gun you have, you won't be accurate.

This is not to say one firearm isn't more mechanically accurate than another. In general the one with the tighter tolerances is going to be more accurate. But also sacrifice reliability in most cases.

I can't quote right now for some reason, but technique I've seen your 19's you posted in the gallery. They look like they have never been fired. Looks like you're more into playing with guns then you are shooting them.

I use an ultra sonic cleaner, and I replied to you as such. I shoot more in reality than you lie about how much you shoot, ya neckbeard douche.

Most will be plenty accurate for delivery of combat effective shot placement at typical self-defense range.
